By following these guidelines and using recommended products, you can ensure the best possible healing process for your tattoos.

Get a good night’s rest
Eat a good meal about 2 hours before your appointment
Stay well hydrated
Avoid numbing cream as it can affect how the skin holds ink
No sunburns. Artists will not tattoo sunburnt skin
Bring only one guest to your appointment

Following these aftercare instructions is crucial to ensure proper healing of your tattoo. Failing to do so may result in an additional charge for a touch up.
Initial Bandage
Leave it on for 2 to 4 hours.Wash Your Hands
Before removing the bandage. Wash the tattoo with mild, fragrance free antibacterial soap using only your fingertips and warm water. Avoid bar soap.Dry Your Tattoo
Pat dry with a clean, soft towel or good quality paper towel. -
Apply Lotion
Use a thin film of unscented lotion like Curel Ultra Healing Lotion. Other recommendations include Lubriderm, Eucerin, and Cetaphil. Avoid scented lotions.Follow Professional Advice
Only use products recommended by professionals, not friends.Healing Process
Your tattoo will start to flake in about 4 to 7 days. Do not pick or scratch it. Let it peel naturally.Continue Using Lotion
Apply unscented lotion for an additional 4 to 6 weeks after flaking stops. Use sunscreen once the tattoo is fully healed. -
Shave the tattoo or surrounding area
Use lotions or moisturizers until the tattoo has dried out (6 to 7 days)
Pick at your tattoo
Go swimming until the tattoo is fully healed
